RyBread Cafe in Fairmount
Cloaked in the sun’s warmth, I spent this past Saturday afternoon discovering the dining scene around the Ben Franklin Parkway. Having spent many a weekend morning strolling through the Philadelphia Art Museum, I decided to explore Fairmount and see what it had to offer other than the magnificent displays of art. This particular Saturday I wasn’t looking for anything too heavy. I wanted the refreshment after walking under the hot June sun.
When I came across Rybread’s orange banner a short walk down Fairmount Avenue, I had a feeling that I had found the place. Once inside, I was greeted warmly by the staff and took my time getting an understanding of the menu. All of the sandwiches sounded like just what I wanted, so the hardest part of experience was deciding which one to get. Finally, I decided on the classic Rybread sandwich and an iced coffee. I enjoyed my crab cake sandwich under the bright orange umbrellas outside and was happily refreshed from the entire experience.
